Terms of service

The service

Vorlit is provided by its operator ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

We may change the service or these terms. When a change is material we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect; continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the updated terms.

Your account

You can sign in with an email and password, a one-time code sent to your email, Sign in with Apple, or Google. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure and for activity under your account.

• Give accurate information and keep your email address current.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Subscriptions and free trials

Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. The price and billing period are shown before you confirm a purchase.

Who bills you depends on where you subscribed. Subscriptions bought in the iOS app are billed by Apple through the App Store; subscriptions bought in the Android app are billed by Google through Google Play; subscriptions bought on the web or through a web checkout link are billed by Stripe on our behalf.

A free trial, where offered, is available to new subscribers only. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription converts to a paid plan and you are charged the plan price at the end of the trial.

• App Store subscriptions: cancel, change plans, and request refunds in your Apple account subscription settings. Apple’s refund policies apply.
• Google Play subscriptions: cancel, change plans, and request refunds in Google Play subscription settings. Google’s refund policies apply.
• Stripe subscriptions: cancel or change plans from Account → Billing, which opens the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it where you subscribed.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to:

• Break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights.
• Upload malware or attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other people.
• Resell or redistribute the service without our written permission.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you create in the service. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, process, and display it to operate the service for you.

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time. You can delete your account from the settings in the mobile app or by contacting us; deletion ends any Stripe subscription and removes your account data as described in the privacy policy. App Store and Google Play subscriptions must be cancelled in the store.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk. Where reasonable we will give notice first.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
